Christine Baranowski

Christine Baranowski is the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Board Vice-Chair of Encore Leadership Advisors. Encore Leadership Advisors is a minority and woman-owned leadership advisory and retained executive search firm, centered around helping clients understand and address their culture and talent blind spots.

Ms. Baranowski has understood her purpose from a very young age - helping others in need. As the daughter of a special education teacher and mechanical engineer, she brings a unique set of abilities that combines her altruistic mindset with the love of solving complex strategic, operational, and people challenges.

As an accomplished global Human Resources Executive with Fortune 100 experience, Ms. Baranowski has over 25 years of deep experience as a Chief Human Resources Officer, Talent Acquisition Executive, and Executive Human Resources Business Partner. Ms. Baranowski was named one of the Top Chief Human Resources Officers for 2022 alongside leaders from many of the world’s top companies.

Ms. Baranowski’s experience spans highly diverse industries including technology, financial services, event management, e-commerce, telecommunications, consumer products, non-profit, retail, and professional services. She has worked for some of the world's most recognizable brands including USAA, Gartner, Adidas, and MCI-WorldCom/Verizon. Ms. Baranowski is known as a trusted advisor who is genuine, collaborative, and able to seamlessly transition between strategic and operational initiatives to deliver impactful results.

Ms. Baranowski serves on several boards including Special Olympics of Oregon and Leadership Worth Following. She is also an Executive Advisor to Veteran Ventures Capital, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned growth equity investment group focused on supporting military entrepreneurs.

Ms. Baranowski has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business where she majored in Human Resources, Economics, and Psychology. She is a certified Executive Coach in addition to having certifications in Behavioral Interviewing and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programming in the Workplace. Ms. Baranowski and her family reside in Portland, Oregon.
